This only took two days, actually. My Benedict Cumberbatch picture took five, how did I get this one done so fast?
It really doesn't make sense, considering that was just a head, and this guy's got CLOTHING.
Speaking of which, this picture was a real break-through for me. This picture was a first for a few things.
It was my first ever time painting teeth, first ever time painting clothing, putting in colour (other than blue irises on Matt Bellamy), and my first ever time doing a livestream! I got this lovely little program called "join.me", and I just put up a stream and link people on Tumblr. It's awesome.
It wasn't difficult getting my friends on, not just because they're my friends and they like my art, but 99% of the people who came on enjoyed the subject matter. This man here is David Bennett, in costume and make-up as "The Spine" from Steam Powered Giraffe, my current long-term obsession (go check them out on Youtube, it's time well spent. I suggest looking up "Honeybee" first).
I'm very pleased with how this turned out, especially the clothing, even though if you look at the picture right next to the reference, you'll be able to see a bunch of errors. Whatever. It still looks like him. So I'm okay with it.
