I haven't updated in a while. A lot of crazy scheisse has been happening.
Anyway, here's some new sketches from yours truly.
1) You know me and eyes... I draw them all the time. I'm constantly improving (if only I could do that with other things), and some of you may wonder WHY I draw them all the time. Well, not too long ago, I found out exactly that. Drawing eyes are "therapeutic" for me, for a few different reasons: A) They are quick, fun, and they give me something to do, something to keep my hands busy and something for me to focus on. B) When I can't really draw anything else, say, when I'm in school, because I don't have any good references and I'm not about to end up drawing something bad, these are nice and easy to make. I know exactly how to do them, and how to make them look good every time. C) When I'm feeling bad about myself, thinking I'm good for nothing, or thinking I have no talent, whipping out a few of these makes me feel better. D) Some of you may know I have a very severe phobia dealing with eyes. It can cause me to shut down for up to 20 minutes, if I recall. But drawing eyes like this, turns something I fear into something beautiful.
So here you are! More eyes from Koi.
2) This boy's name is Re'il, a character from my Nova story that appeared around the third major plot shift. He was planned to appear in the second book, but now I don't even know if there will be one. But I need to stick him in somewhere...
Anyway, this picture was not actually intended to be concept art for my character. After wearing myself out from drawing eyes (more than what I'm showing), I wanted to try to draw a face. I was in first hour, English, where students were acting out Hamlet. A peer of mine, very quiet, very studious, was up and stationary—perfect! I sketched out the basic outline of a face, and the curl of the bangs. Then as he started moving, I just went from there on my own. (I am so not a creeper.) Referencing accomplished! -trumpet-
