Description
Back in the beautiful days of the old
A lupe found a wonderous cage made of gold.
Leaning back on his haunches, the bewildered beast saw
A giant green hummingbird, which he ogled in awe.
Never before had he seen any creature so bright
His interest was immediately sparked into light.
He rolled out his tongue, and twisted his head
As the green flying creature turned 'round and said
"Oh noble lupe, so keen and so quick
I was trapped in this cage by a terrible trick.
Could you do for me, a favor so small
It would hardly take you any effort at all?"
The lupe perked his ears, awaiting its direction
Eager to help it with any question.
"If you could free me, by the breaking the golden chain teather
I would give unto you some of my dazzling green feathers."
Quickly excepting the request of the one who was trapped
He leap, claws outstretched, getting the golden chains snapped.
Down fell the cage, and the hummingbird too
Which broke, releasing the bird to fly into the blue.
As it fled to the sky, it let float down what it had owed
Where the lupe stretched out his snout to catch all the load.
But soon hunters came running through the trees to the scene
To find they no longer had captive a hummingbird green.
But they saw the lupe, with green down on his jaw
And that was the last of the lupes anyone ever saw.

Well, there's my poem! XD Kinda' sad, huh? Weeelllll, I bet you've got a few questions! So I'd like to clear some things up!
Lupes; In here, it is the name for the species that strange wolf creature is............ I dunno, it was one syllable and that was the best choice for the poem~ XD;
Giant Green Hummingbirds; Back then, it was said Giant Green Hummingbirds were good luck, and brought great fortune. However, if you caught one, the luck would vanish. But a cage of gold would preserve the luck.
Poem, Explained; So yeah, a Giant Green Hummingbird was captured by a hunter, and he was so excited he wanted to call over the other hunters. He didn't bring it with him because the gold was incredibly heavy, and he also wanted his other hunter pals to help him carry it. But then a foolish lupe came along, and was amazed by the glorious green birdy, and because he immediately liked the pretty thing, the bird got him to free 'em. Theeen, the hunters came back, thought the lupe ate the bird and, well.... you know.... > n >; ............................................................................................................................. I'm a terrible person, aren't I? 8D

Weeeelll, so yeah! Spent quite a few hours on this, watching various movies with and without the family. I'd have to say I'm sort of disappointed with the final outcome, but I like how the lupe turned out~ ^ u ^
